its been 2 weeks since my order was despatched and im still waiting - anyone else having the same issues?

it says on their site it can take 1-3 weeks, which is quite a big difference. its just a lot of money, 12 items in 4 parcels so i just hope they get here soon.

oh and it stated that international order ship withot jewel cases - i hope that is for cds only, cos if my games and boxsets are discs only, ill go up the wall.

International shipping is usually the standard three weeks. And only CD's ship without cases.

I am waiting too but not worried. The 1-3 weeks covers a lot of distances and territories hence the spread in that generic phrase. Jewel cases are a specific type of case and a fragile one so I can understand that policy. My chum chases suppliers for replacement cases and that must be a killer for the company, so easier to not send jewel cases. Others reporting to this thread were happy with past purchases, I think missing boxes off boxsets would be a quick route to going out of business so as they havnt gone bust I am confident.

I did get a GPO card today and picked up a real, full sized sack. Like Santa. Turns out the book I ordered from US is the biggest book in the universe. 1700 big pages, an 8 pound breeze block. Too heavy to read on your lap. That took 4 weeks to arrive and exhausted Popeye in the process.

Be careful what you order unseen online.

Reminds me I ordered 'Bob Dylan The Gospel Speeches' by Clinton Heylin off amazon.com 10 years ago, it took months and arrived in a big box, the book was 2 inches by 1&half inches by 1/4 inch thick. The smallest book in the universe.

Worth best part of £100 today, wish I had bought 10 of them.

My last 15 DVD order took 3-4 weeks to arrive. For whatever reason, it's normal for SS orders to take as long as they do, most likely due to them shipping to Sweden and then reshipping it to the UK.

I'm still waiting for my last order (made during their last sale a good few weeks back) but I'm not worried.

2 weeks is far too early to start worrying about an international shipment because the problem is generally the time it takes to get through our Customs system - nothing to do with the sender. If not here at 4 weeks check with them - but even then, I've had things later (with dates of in and out of Customs making clear where the blame lay).

My order arrived today. :)

Most of the cases were fine, but there were some issues. 2 or 3 of the cases (black, thankfully) got bent inwards along the top during transit due to these DVDs being sent in a huge jiffy bag. 1 of the black cases was a low quality case. 1 of the DVDs was in a clear case when it should've been in a black case. 1 or 2 of the clear cases had a few knocks.

All the DVDs themselves are in excellent condition and all the DVDs that should've come with inlays did. A few of the DVDs still had seals intact along the top of the cases.

It's bloody annoying to keep having to play the case swapping game. It's lucky I have quite a few extra DVDs I own twice - It's those cases I'm swapping the bad ones for. It does create problems on the future when I want to shift my extra DVDs, though...

Anyone know a fairly cheap way of getting lots of clear/see-through DVD cases? I sure could use them.

A lot of '£1' shops sell them in bulk, usually in packs of 10. Alternatively try boot sales as often I see people selling empty cases really cheaply.
