Torchwood

I'm a big fan of Torchwood and can't wait for the new series coming on, looks like it's going to be quite good with a lot of well known people in. Just curious though, Dr Who is repeated almost continuously on BBC3 and UK Gold but I've never seen a repeat of a single Torchwood episode. It can't be because it's not popular or they wouldn't be making a second series so I wonder why they don't show it. I really think they should if only so I can get my Captain Jack fix

Re: Torchwood

I really hope that in the new series Owen dies within the first 3 seconds. He`s a cock

Re: Torchwood

To be honest they all deserve to die horribly in the first 30 seconds for what they did to Captain Jack.

Well, apart from the over-the-top sexual stuff the new series has got off to a reasonably good start. Interesting to see Spike make an appearance with the promise of more later in the series. This should bring in some Buffy fans if nothing else. It will be interesting to watch the family friendly version to see which bits they take out. I think they may need to have reshot some sequences rather than just editing them out. I suppose a lot depends on exactly what is deemed suitable for family viewing. I wonder what the viewing figures were like for this first return episode now that it is going out on BBC2 first rather than BBC3 ?

However, even with its minor faults it was streets ahead of the second series of Primeval

I'm a big Doctor Who fan (I help run a forum) but I find it hard to love Torchwood. The tone's all over the place, the adult references are totally at odds with everything else, and tend to halt the plot in its tracks...

... but James Marsters was funny. And Eve Myles is hot.

I really enjoyed it, I strangely found the scenes between Captain Jack and Captain John rather erotic. It was a good start and I too will be watching the pre watershed version to see what changes they made.

I loved the Obi Wan reference, very funny

Episode three was definitely the best one so far this series. Only one gratuitous sex related shot to break up the flow. My only concern is that this was a lot like the time shift episode in last season. They can't be running out of new ideas already Next week looks like fun though

haven't managed to catch any of the pre-watershed episodes. How have they done it - I mean is it just cut to pieces or does it look like its been re-shot for the earlier timeslot?

I watched wednesdays ep today. What the hell was that crap. Worst ep of torchwood ever, in fact worst episode of any tv show ever. I hate any ep that is about relationships, like last season with owen and the other time traveller woman, that was cack too.

Torchwood should be about fighting aliens and not relationships, I just dont care what any of them do outside of torchwood. It`s like in E.R., 99% of eps outside the hospital are rubbish, I DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR LIFE!

It's just been cut as far as I can tell.
