Spoiler
Very Happy to see David Tennant finally going, never rated him at all, his acting style going from incredible over the top zany to deadly seriously I found was laughable. Hopeful he will take Catherine Tate with him, who was good for one episode but she drives up the wall with constant mouthiness through out the series.

I like them both to be honest - reckon he will be back though - they kept focusing the camera on the doctors hand - and also when he was regenerating he looked at his hand strangly

To answer my own question:

Overnight Ratings show that the episode achieved 7.4m viewers with a 38.3% audience share.

Doctor Who was the most-watched programme on Saturday.

So the final figures should be around 8m. Not too bad really

I reckon he will regen as himself due to the 1 second timeshift. But could be wrong as Tennent is having a long run in Hamlet.

Rumours I have heard so far, bear in mind these are only speculation from other fans and as such aren't spoilers.

As he's regenerating he zaps the hand in the jar and it causes him to regen as himself.

As above but it creates a second Dr.

Shock exit, he regenerates into David Morrisey (11th Doctor?)

Something goes terribly wrong and his essence somehow mixes with Donna to make DoctorDonna as mentioned in an earlier episode (not sure how that one would work!)

He comes back as one of the previous Doctors.

I'm guessing that all of those are wrong (but hope the first one is right) but whatever the outcome I can't wait and you can bet they won't be in a rush to show us!

The rumors suggest that James Nesbitt could be the new doctor.

John simm who played the master and essential stole the show when he appeared was rumored ages ago to be the new doctor.

The funniest i heard was they wanted Jason Statham for when they did a big screen version lol.
