Ripper
What ever happened to the supposed Giles BBC spin off called Ripper ?, It has real potential. I assume it would have been shot over here. I hope something does come of it

Re: Ripper
Me too, would love to see it being made.
I really wish they had went ahead with a Faith spin-off too.

I had the first 4 S8 comics arrive last week, but they'll have to wait until after the Deathly Hallows now...

Re: Ripper
It has been confirmed at Joss Whedon's panel at this years comic-con that Ripper would be made as a 90-minute feature for the BBC.

Most exciting to the crowd was the announcement that the Buffy spin-off Ripper would be made as a 90-minute feature for the BBC, in all likelihood, though that deal has yet to be finalized.

In terms of comic book news, Whedon announced that Oz would be returning to the series, though he would not disclose when. The new Angel series would be a continuation of the cancelled TV show, as with Buffy, but will be titled Angel: After The Fall.

More Angel

Re: Ripper
Great news about 'Ripper'. Tony Head was a hard sell for me when this series started, as the Gold Blend adverts had been pissing me off for years. Giles turned out to be one of my favourite characters, though. Hope this one-off turns into several, and that the tone is kept quite dark.
I like comics just fine, but haven't been able to muster any enthusiasm for S8. I kind of liked how they finished the TV series off.
