I had the original Oppo, and that was amazing.
I suppose one of the biggest factors in choosing the Denon was when I realised I had the wrong connection and that the Denon, which had some great reviews was just a drive away (and in the sale!!!).
Like I said though, I dont know how it would go head to head with the new Oppo, probably not much in it at all.
I'm very pleased with it, but whatever i buy now is really going to be a stop gap until a worthwhile combi player appears.
