BBC Four World Cinema Award TONIGHT 9pm
Once again it's a pleasure when this annual show comes around.
This years nominees are;
De Battre Mon Coeur S'est Arrêté (The Beat that My Heart Skipped)
L'Enfant (The Child)
Moartea Domnului Lazarescu (The Death of Mr. Lazarescu)
Caché (Hidden)
Chinjeolhan Geumjassi (Sympathy for Lady Vengeance)

It's a toughie but personally I think L'Enfant deserves the award.
The Beat that My Heart Skipped was decent but nothing on read my lips, I am yet to see Mr Lazarescu (but want too). I've just seen Volver and that was really good...lady vengeance, not quite as good as mr vengeance and oldboy, but still good...and of course haneke's wonderful 'cache'.
