Certainly not the best movie in the Mummy series, not least because Rachel Weisz relinquishes her role as Evelyn and to be honest, the chemistry between Brendan Fraser and the new Evelyn (Maria Bello) is non-existent. In my opinion, this was a wasted opportunity – it could have been so much more. But for fans of the franchise, probably a must-buy at this price.
Mel Gibson’s controversial retelling of the story of Christ, financed entirely by Mel Gibson himself to the tune of $30million and performed in Aramaic and Latin with English subtitles. Not for the faint hearted. Pre-order, released March 22nd 2010. Next best price appears to be £9.89 at Amazon.
Some excellent prices on Blu Ray at HMV – lots of new titles included in the £5.99 / £6.99 range, so well worth a browse!
Play have launched their latest “Red Hot Deals” promotion, and there are a large number of Blu Ray titles priced at just £5.99. Some decent titles included.
An AWESOME price for this – previous best price was £16.48. Many would argue that the 2 sequels are poor in comparison to the fantastic original, but actually, they are pretty decent movies in their own right (in my opinion) if you don’t compare them to The Matrix.
Another Monday, and of course it’s another Zavvi Mega Monday. Lots to report this week – Ratchet and Clank and Tropico on PS3 for £17.95, Terminator Salvation on Blu Ray for just £12.85, District 9 DVD for £7.85, Men Behaving Badly Six Pack for £16.95, Fringe Season 1 £17.85.

If you missed the recent excellent price on The Dark Knight Blu Ray, don’t worry – The Hut have gone one better and reduced it to just £6.85. A stunning price for a definite must-have blu ray.
Some decent titles to be had in the LoveFilm Ex Rental sale. The DVDs are a bit overpriced, but a couple of the Blu Rays look worthwhile. Note: Rental DVDs and Blu Rays tend to be “vanilla” versions – i.e. don’t expect any extras to be included.

A great price for this – however, the movie ain’t too great I’m afraid. But for £5.85, it might keep the kids entertained for a couple of hours. And then you can stick it on eBay and get your money back. Simples.
Awesome is the only word to describe this price. Considered by many to be the best Batman movie yet, with a fantastic performance by the late Heath Ledger. And the Blu Ray transfer is top-notch. Quite simply a must buy at this price.
